The First Dutch Hackathon League
The Hackitarians is a Dutch foundation (stichting) founded by Richard Kastelein and Jurjen Söhne dedicated to fostering innovation in the Netherlands and globally by running short term gamified events otherwise known as hackathons. They have an excellent track record and have designed, built and run some of the world's larger hackathons in London, San Francisco, Berlin, Amsterdam, Utrecht and Brussels. Hacked in Groningen is the result of Kastelein wanting to do a project close to his heart and his home (he lives in Haren) and also kick off Europe's first hackathon league that uses gamifies innovation with a points system, both at a team and individual level.
